December 8 and 11, 2016

The holiday concert featured an eclectic assortment of Christmas music, including new takes on old favorites such as Three Wise Guys, Silent Night in Gotham, and Nutcracker Fantasia. Craig Daniell provided the narration on Twas the Night Before Christmas.

Although the concert was free, tickets were distributed in an effort to increase attendance. The concert benefited Toys for Tots.

This concert was performed twice, at the Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church and at Christ Church United Methodist. The concert was led by Paul Worosello, with Associate Conductor Keith McDaniel.

The concert honored Karen Bourque (1951-2016). Karen was born in Trenton, New Jersey, and in the latter part of her life became a professional care-giver in the Houston area. She believed in the magic of music, especially at Christmastime. Karen was a member of the Woodlands Concert Band saxophone section for over ten years, and only missed a concert if she was ill. She will be greatly missed by the entire band.
