June 22 and 25, 2017

The patriotic concert featured music recalling America's melting pot. The program included Musella's Don Ricardo, Williams' Viktor's Tale, and the Bridal Dance from Grainger's The Merry Wedding, which was arranged by the band's own Craig M. Gardner. The program also included pieces celebrating America, such as Ives' Variations on America and Wasson's Land of Liberty, in addition to the usual patriotic favorites.

The concert featured the second place scholarship contest winner, Zachary Barnett (trumpet, Stratford High School). He performed the first movement of Haydn's trumpet concerto.

This concert was presented twice, at Woodlands Community Presbyterian Church and at Christ Church United Methodist. The concert was led by Paul Worosello, with Associate Conductor Keith McDaniel and guest conductors Richard Crain and Bill Stutsman.

The concert was dedicated in memory of Gayle Crain (1941-2016).
