Keith McDaniel

Associate Director 2013-2014, 2015-2017

Keith M. McDaniel graduated from West Texas State University in 1982 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music Education and a Master's Degree in Conducting. Keith was employed from 1982 through 2002 as assistant band director at Klein Forest High School for nine years and as associate band director for eleven years. Keith has also taught for the Tomball ISD and for Callahan School of Music for nine years and has been a member of the All-State Bassoon seating panel for TMEA the past 25 years. This is the fourth year Keith has played with The Woodlands Concert Band, where he serves as percussion section leader, member of the Board of Directors, and assistant director of the band. Keith is a member ofthe American Society of Composers, Arrangers and Performers and has 14 pieces published by RBC Music in San Antonio, including six that are on the Prescribed Music List of the UUIL and a book of mallet solos. Keith has been married to his wife Gloria, a music therapist in Klein ISD, for 34 years. They have two grown children, one granddaughter, and one son deceased.
